Description[]
One depiction of her showed her as an enormous mass extruding black tentacles, possessing slime-dripping mouths, and short, writhing goat legs. She is more than death itself. She is a forest of despair, filled with a thousand young and she is an all-consuming, all-devouring end for life.[1]
From Mr. Armitage's book: "I have seen her with my own eyes. Her enormous, cloudy mass roils and festers, parts of the mist coalescing at times to form ropy tentacles, slime-dripping maws, or writhing hoof-tipped legs."[2]
History[]
In 1921, a cult led by Antoine attempted to bring Shub-Niggurath through a portal into Earth. It is later revealed that this group was interrupted by Henry MacFarland, Frank Underhill, and a third, unnamed character. Shub-Niggurath entered Henry's body, and through "time fuckery", she was deleted from existence in all worlds, except the one she had been brought into, which retained only impressions of her existence.[3]
